Travel snaps of Okinawa and Hokkaido by Mayumi Watanabe with TAMRON 11-20mm F2.8 (Model B060) for FUJIFILM X-mount
For FUJIFILM X-mount
The 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD (Model B060) is a large-aperture ultra wide-angle zoom lens. It's small and light weight with a good camera balance. The 11-20mm F2.8 makes it an ideal ultra-wide-angle zoom lens for daily use. The MOD (Minimum Object Distance) at the wide-angle side is 0.15 m, allowing you to enjoy the world of wide-angle macro shooting.
My photography style is to walk as I please and capture chance encounters at the moment. These chance encounters become inevitable when I photograph them. Therefore, lens selection is crucial because each focal length expresses a different world.
The world that can be expressed with the TAMRON 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is not just limited to vast scenes unique to ultra wide-angle zoom lenses. With a Minimum Object Distance of 0.15m (5.9in) at the wide end and 0.24m (9.4in) at the telephoto end, you can get as close to your subject as possible for wide-angle macro photography. For example, I took a shot in Lake Akan, Hokkaido. I got very close to the snow piled up on the lake's surface in the early morning and captured the Sun and the mountain range in the background. Additionally, by combining constant F2.8, I was able to express the front bokeh in the Okinawa cherry blossoms. Both are expressions unique to the 11-20mm F2.8.
Moreover, this lens is also capable of delicate expressions. I captured a flower by the roadside taken against the light, which expressed detail while capturing impressive light.
This time I used the 11-20mm F2.8 with FUJIFILM X-T5. This lens is equivalent to 16.5-30mm in full-frame format. It's light weight and compact, weighing approximately 335g (11.8oz) and measuring 86.5mm (3.4in). When you hold the lens, you will be surprised by its small size and lightness. Furthermore, it has a Moisture-Resistant Construction, so you don't have to worry about slight weather changes such as rain or snow.
Based on its specs, the 11-20mm F2.8 can be described as "a lens that allows for highly flexible shooting." Not only those who already have experience shooting with ultra wide-angle zoom lenses, but also those who "always takes the same kind of photos or wants to change something" may take the plunge and choose this lens. Incidentally, by combining it with the TAMRON 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B070) or the 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD (Model B061), you can enjoy an even wider range of shooting.
The 11-20mm F/2.8 Di III-A RXD is an eagerly awaited ultra wide-angle zoom lens for X-mount users. It will surely bring you a new experience. Give it a try and have fun!
