TAMRON APPOINTS RUTH COX AS WESTERN REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

Seasoned Sales Professional Challenged with Expanding Business West of the Mississippi

August 29, 2008, Commack, NY - Tak Inoue, President of Tamron USA, Inc., announced the appointment of Ruth Cox as Western Regional Sales Manager assuming the position left vacant after the promotion of Bert Krank to Vice President in May of this year. Cox has represented Tamron in Southern California since 2002.

As an independent rep for the past twenty-one years, Cox has called on all areas of Southern California at one time or another from Santa Barbara to San Diego. She began her sales career in retail at Broadway department stores, where from 1977 to 1987 she advanced from part time sales to personnel department training supervisor to department manager. In her new position, Ruth will manage 10 independent reps and 3 house reps located west of the Mississippi.

“Ruth has a great reputation with her dealers and she is enthusiastic about the opportunities that today’s imaging environment presents,” stated Bert Krank, Vice President of Tamron USA, Inc. “She is an ideal candidate to exploit those opportunities and we are excited to have her on board.”

Ruth has been married for 21 years and is the mother/stepmother of 3 children. She has lived her whole life in Southern California.

Tamron is a leading manufacturer of lenses and optical components for photographic, industrial, laboratory, video, digital and scientific applications.
