TAMRON PROMOTES KEN HUBBARD TO FIELD SERVICES MANAGER
Newly Created Position Expands Tamron’s Ability to Reach
January 9, 2009, Commack, NY — Tak Inoue, President of Tamron USA, Inc. announced the promotion of Ken Hubbard to the newly created position of Field Services Manager. In his new role, Hubbard will be responsible for the company’s trade shows, the development and execution of Tamron’s popular consumer workshop series, and other new field events. In 2009, Hubbard is challenged with revamping the workshop program to include seminar-style and in-the-field experiences in a 50-city Tamron Learning Center Road Series tour. Hubbard will supervise the activities of Tamron’s team of technical representatives who will staff the tour, trade shows, dealer sales events, dealer trainings and more.
Hubbard has been with Tamron since 2001, and as Trade Show and Advertising Supervisor for the past 8 years, he has been responsible for all trade show logistics, including PMA, and he will continue the oversight of the company’s show presence going forward. He has also assisted Tamron’s Chief Marketing Officer, Stacie Errera, in the execution of the company’s extensive consumer workshops.
“Ken has a clear understanding of the company’s objectives and has expertly handled the logistics of our events for some time now,” stated Errera. “He has a great rapport with our dealers, reps and tech staff and I am certain he will meet the challenge of enhancing our image through the increasing number of events we have planned.”
In addition to his field event management duties, Hubbard will continue to contribute his stellar photography on a regular basis to Tamron’s newsletters, blog, tradeshow graphics, advertising and other collateral material. Hubbard’s talent as a photographer helps him to better define content for the Road Series and makes him an excellent point-person for the professional photographers leading these events.
Tamron is a leading manufacturer of lenses and optical components for photographic, industrial, laboratory, video, digital and scientific applications.
